Labor Day 2020
…is this Monday, September 7. The holiday pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. It was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century and became a federal holiday in 1894.
Thomas Edison once said “Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.” The major manufacturers of the late 19th and early 20th Century’s in America had a full partner in American labor. Together they made the United States Of America the economic capital of the world.
My hard working Sakada ancestors provided the opportunity for our family by coming to America in 1916. My Dad instilled hard work as a way of life and how to provide for one’s family.
Dad’s work ethic found root in my life and I realized the harder I worked the more opportunity that became available to me. My strength as a man is founded in earning my way.
I wish you and your family a very Happy Labor Day weekend. Take care of each other and be safe. Be proud of the work you have done — your dreams will become reality when you add hard work to the equation.
