Shan S. Tsutsui
Lieutenant Governor of Hawaii 2012-2018
I am grateful for the opportunity to share my strong support for Augie Tulba and his candidacy to serve as the next Councilmember for Council District 9. I would like to extend my gratitude to Augie and his ohana for stepping up to serve. It is not an easy decision and comes with a lot of personal sacrifice especially for a first time candidate. Augie has chosen public service and I greatly appreciate his courage and dedication to the people and our future generations, which has inspired him to step up at this time.
As a graduate of Leilehua High School, I was taught that LHS stood for Leadership, Humility and Service and that those three attributes are what is needed to make a difference in this world. I see these traits in Augie. He takes his time to truly get to know people and listen to their stories and concerns. He puts people first and is an independent thinker and hard worker who is always looking for common sense solutions. I believe he will continue to put people before politics and will always strive to work for the greater good for residents and for future generations. Augie’s will work hard for our City and stand with the people during these challenging times.
Please join me in my support and vote for Augie as our next Councilmember for Council District 9,. Every vote and every voice matters. Thank you for your time and consideration. Mahalo and please take good care.
Very Sincerely,
Heidi Tsuneyoshi

Billy Kenoi Endorses Augie Tulba.
I am humbly asking everyone in Council District 9 to vote for Augusto “Augie” Tulba for the Honolulu City Council. I was honored to work with Augie at the County level on Hawaii Island and he brought so many outstanding qualities to serving our community.
He was tireless in serving every school and touching every student in every district with a positive, inspiring, and empowering message. His intelligence and creativity in problem solving allowed him to reach elementary, middle, and high school students on a moments notice. His kindness and compassion was evident in the positive responses we received from every event he attended that supported our senior living programs.
I also witnessed first hand his willingness to make time to listen and his humility in working to understand the challenges of our community. For someone who spent so much time on stage under the bright lights, I thought he shined brightest when he took the time to make people feel special when no one was around and no one was looking. To me, that’s true leadership. That’s true Aloha!

Hawai’i Nurses’ Association endorses Augie Tulba.
Dear Friends of Augie,
Augie’s comedic talent enriches our community with laughter all the while sharing empowering, energized messages that success is a powerful attribute that is not hard to achieve. He starts by advocating with Hawaii’s youth that setting goals, making the right choices, and hard work builds success and humbling personal characteristics that a great majority can appreciate.
Augie’s personal connections are driven by his own real-life experiences that build trust. Augie has contacted me on several occasions to discuss, amongst other topics, working conditions, employee benefit programs across our employer facilities, and wages for our healthcare workers across the state. It was notable that he cared enough to learn more about the working conditions of our front line healthcare providers. Augie greeted and supported our Union members at some of our events as well.
As the President of The Hawai‘i Nurses’ Association OPEIU Local 50, I am proud to present this letter of endorsement to Augie Tulba in his run for the Honolulu City Council District 9 seat.
Mahalo,
